Tom Blais spoke to me On phone. I spoke to him this morning. He
graduated from both classes 4 & 16 BUD/s E.C. We prayed together. He
was a great instructor. I was 31E. We are friends now. He is weak but
spiritually strong. Cool. Who is Doc Riojas? Dios te bendiga.

WEBMASTER NOTE:
Tom Blais and I go way back in the 1960's
at ST-2. Indeed, he is a great Frogman. I fell off a barstool at the CPO club in
NhaBe, Vietnam and he sewed my noggin up with plain ole needle and thread. All
the East Coast Navy SEALs had to go to one week of Field Medical Service at Camp
Lejune , N.C.
Tom is an Icon in the teams and loved by all the men that i know from the
east coast, Little Creek.
thank You very much
RIO
You know, that BUDs Class 32, and all those other summer
classes, for that matter, had the life of Reilly compared to Class 31
"Echo." They got to go through "Hell Week" in the middle of
July - crawling through Little Creek mud during full mosquito infestation. And
that lean and rest stuff when the Virginia asphalt was about 110 degrees and
doing a circus at temp. was nothing because they got to go for a nice swim in
the Chesapeake Bay. Even though that was the height of Jelly Fish season and the
poor bastards would get stung about 20 or 30 times during a 2 mile swim. Had it
made, I'll tell ya
Last thing...
Ens. Frank Cleary wishes to have one made for his pussy class. Yes, Class 32 was
known as the Summer Pussy Class. Disgusting.
Tom Hawkins researching the 31E vs 31 tag after major concern by our Bobby. Though training was no where near as tough or cold in our day. We did have the first two months in Jan-Feb.... think it was cold..but don't remember... Any stories??

1-800-I-AM-UNHAPPY - Volume 1 (Kindle Edition) “1-800-I-AM-UNHAPPY” is a
wonderful collection of thoughts (and sometimes rants) by former Navy SEAL Chris
Bent about many of the things that have gone wrong in our American society.
While I don’t agree with everything Bent writes, he writes it well and makes
some very astute observations about the state of our culture. Bent shares his
thoughts on everything from poor grammar to frivolous lawsuits, along with many
other societal problems in between.
The book is really a collection of vignettes, or snippets from Bent’s life or
thoughts on life. While the book is well-organized, you can really pick it up
and ready any chapter in any order, and take away a nugget (or more) of insight
and guidance. Read the book front to back, from the middle to the ends, from
back to front, or completely at random…but read it!
